Stanley E. Treitler, DDS

Dr. Stan Treitler was born in 1952 and raised in Wilmette, IL.  He grew up in Wilmette, graduating from New Trier High School in 1970.  Stan’s early passion in life was baseball and he spent his undergraduate collegiate days at Tulane University on a baseball scholarship.

Equally as passionate about periodontics, Stan began his dental training in 1973 and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in dentistry from the University of Illinois.  He stayed at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry through 1979 also earning his postgraduate degree in Periodontics.

Dr. Treitler began his private practice in Arlington Heights in 1978 and opened a second office in Bloomingdale in 1980.  Since, Dr’s Sandroff and Dr. Patrone have become partners in Advanced Periodontics offices have been added in Vernon Hills and Barrington.

Early in his career Dr. Treitler was an assistant professor at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry.  He has served as past president of the Arlington Heights and Bloomingdale Study Clubs.  Dr. Treitler continues to be an active member of The American Dental Association, The Academy of Periodontology, The Midwest Society of Periodontology and The Illinois Society of Periodontology.

Dr. Treitler continually enhances his surgical expertise through various continuing education courses and is well trained in multiple implant systems. He has also extensively lectured and organized continuing education seminars for his dental colleagues.

He currently lives in Highland Park, Illinois with his wife, while his son, Michael attends college at Indiana University. His older son you might recognize as Bryan Scary of Bryan Scary and the Shredding Tears Band.
